If you have an extension wired into the back of your BT faceplate, try disconnecting the orange and white wire. This is the old “Bell” or “”ring” wire. its not used by modern devices, only by old devices with a physical bell inside them and it can act as an aerial, picking up interference and drowning out the radio frequencies of the broadband signal, we have seen improvements of up to 20% with this simple trick alone.
Please don’t try this if you are unable to put the wire back, in some cases a non standard wiring may have been used and you could disconnect your phone extension!
