All IT Support companies need partners. Many choose to just partner with a single provider – but not us. We found this approach limiting for our customers. We want our clients to have a solution that works for them and that they can afford. Sometimes that’s all with one provider, mostly it’s a blend of technologies, we believe in customised solutions. The IT landscape is changing and it’s clear that the days of one monolithic vendor are over. Vendors such as Google have some great products and are easily a match for any software vendor in the world.

Cloud and cloud-hybrid technology are here to stay.

Microsoft

As a Microsoft partner, we can offer licensing, installation and expert IT support on a wide range of Microsoft Office 365 services – from standalone email solutions through to Sharepoint/OneDrive for file access and full Microsoft Teams integration. For many businesses this highly integrated solution makes working life easier – whether you are working from home, working collaboratively, working in the field, working in the office or any combination of those things.

Dropbox

One of the first Cloud File Systems, Dropbox synchronises data between computers and other devices meaning that you can work from anywhere on Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, in fact any type of file except Full database systems. We only supply the “Dropbox For Business” version. It keeps copies of all versions of a file going back for 120 days (or indefinitely for the premium version), the other versions are OK for home use or even simple file sharing but they only keep a version history of files going back 30 days, this is simply not secure enough for business use and critical data. Ransomware is a clear and present danger to your business. Dropbox for business is the only cloud solution we have found that adequately protects you if Ransomware strikes.

DrayTek

We recommend Draytek routers for businesses, although pretty much any router will do the job, the Draytek ones give us much more information about the state of the broadband line, if anyone in the organisation is hogging the bandwidth or indeed allow us to prioritise certain traffic over others. For example if you have a VOIP (Internet)) phone system you don’t need a few people sending large emails to degrade a call that’s in progress. These routers are not that much more expensive than a decent router bought from say PC World, but they give us much more information and control to support you better. They can even have a mobile dongle added to give you backup broadband using the mobile phone network in the event that your broadband goes down. (BT sometimes take days to fix a fault on the line, regardless of who your internet provider is).

Vipre Antivirus

For larger businesses we usually recommend Vipre Anti Virus, not because its that much better an anti virus (they are all pretty much the same, except some slow your machines down more than others) but because it has good central control. Meaning we can see at a glance which machines have potential infections on them and which machines have out of date virus definitions on them.

Backup Everything

We are resellers for Backup Everything. We believe this is the best cloud backup technology on the market. Based around existing traditional backup methodology and best practice, but in the cloud. Many so called cloud backup solution are merely replications. A backup has a history that can be recovered to various points in time and not just individual files but the whole filesystem. With Ransomware attacks becoming increasingly commonplace, this best practice methodology is invaluable in protecting your business data.
