Windows has finally been given a feature that’s been available in most flavours of Linux for a considerable time, in Windows 10. That feature is virtual desktops, or as Linux calls then “Workspaces”.
The idea is that you can organise your work so that you can switch between desktops just as if you had two (or more) PC’s in front of you.
To create a new desktop click the Task View icon.
Then click the New desktop icon, you will get a new empty desktop, to switch back click the Task View icon again of press the windows key and the Alt key and then click on the other desktop.
Handy for organising your work into discrete packages without having lots of windows open, which can get confusing.
